Vacation Request sheet for 2010 are posted. These need to be returned to a union officer before November 5, 2009.

I've also added information on KCS' Drug and Alcohol referral program. The short of it is that if you or a co-worker have a problem with drugs or alcohol. You can contact an EAP counselor and get the help that you (or they) need without suffering the effects of a Rule 1.5 (Rule G) violation. Read what it has to say. I think we should all be familiar with this policy.

At the request of our chaplain, Brother Clay Lewter I've added a page to our site. "In Our Prayers". This page is dedicated to those members and their family that have either requested or had it requested to have an extra prayer said for them.

I've also updated the "meeting sign" at the top of the first page. This tells when the next regularly scheduled meeting is. If I'm in error, someone please let me know.

I'm also working on the "information" page. I'm trying to get all of the buttons the same shade in each group. This is a slow process, as there are so many different buttons. Have a little patience with me.

quick update on the information page. There is some new info on the hours of service law changes that went into effect on July 16.

I've also posted the info on when Brother Chitman will be laid to rest. Don't forget that Brothers Lewter, Shea, Pickett, and Rogers are taking up donations for his family. I believe Cliff Creal is doing the same in the yard.

Please note that there will be there annual crawfish boil on Saturday May 16 following the regular monthly meeting. All crafts and union employees are welcome to attend the Boil.

It's sponsored by the Hubble Law Firm.

We're hoping that we'll have another excellent turn out.

Page update recently. I added a letter to Brian Boutwell from Bud, detailing how the organization feels about the recently circular concerning meal periods. I also added a link to EmployeeFreeChoiceAct.org which is an organization that deals with an employee's right to unionize, and some pending legislation to that end.

On Feb 8, I added a link to a summary of your HIPAA rights. This can be found on the "information" page. Make sure that you know your rights!

At the Feb 5 union meeting CJ Smith was voting in as a member. Welcome to our Division Jason.
